The new office will address how to design the environments of our future society, bringing together internal teams and external partners to explore and address such pressing topics for architecture as zero-energy buildings (ZEBs) for snowy, frigid regions, DE&I, wellness, and timber construction. Notably, the building received “Nearly ZEB” certification under the Building-Housing Energy-efficiency Labeling System, which indicates it reduces energy con-sumption by at least 75 percent.
