1■222スパイラルアップする「みどり」とイノベーション北館は、うめきた2期開発に求められたイノベーション機能の中核を担う「JAM BASE」を低層部に、ライフスタイルホテルを高層部に配置し、吹き抜けを介して公園や屋上の緑を内部空間に取り込みました。ミクストユースならではの重層的な都市機能を、隣接するノースパークから迫り上がる群造形としてスタッキングし、渾然一体のパブリックスペースとしています。角度・スケール・外装を変え、段丘状ににピロティや階段、屋上庭園を散りばめ、折り重ねたボリュームの間「みどり」を建築に浸透させることで、内外が一体となってアクティビティに寄り添う空間となることを意図しました。 Spiraling Greenery and InnovationThe lower floors of the North Building are the site of Jam Base, the focal point of the innovation-driven vision for Phase 2 of the Umekita Project; the upper floors house a life-style hotel. The atrium incorporates the greenery of the park and the rooftop plantings into the interior space. The mixed-use building’s layered urban functions are stacked as a col-lective volume rising out of the adjacent North Park, creating an integrated public space. The volumes are stacked in a terraced arrangement, and piloti spaces, staircases, and roof-top gardens are situated among the volumes. This greenery is intended to blur the lines between interior and exterior, encouraging activity and interaction.
