Upgrades such as elevator modernization, photovoltaic panel installation, and the introduction of fuel cells were also considered, but after cost-effectiveness evaluations, it was determined they should not be adopted. The outside air grilles at the outdoor air intakes were modified to increase the volume of outdoor air introduced into the building. An ambient air-cooling control system was also implemented. After the renovation, the air conditioning system was upgraded to a two-coil type, allowing for temperature control based on the orientation of the spaces used.
