Taro Shimada

Taro Shimada joined Nikken Sekkei in 1993 after earning a master’s degree at Kobe University. He is engaged in the design of projects in a variety of fields, including offices, banks, and research, educational and sports facilities. Since 2010, he has been responsible for the cost management aspects of various projects. In addition to planning ordering strategies based on construction market analysis, value engineering, and supporting price negotiations, he is also involved in project value enhancement through construction-related GHG (greenhouse gas) emissions management and other measures. He is a registered first-class architect.
