Environmental Management
Nikken Sekkei takes seriously the increasingly severe issue of climate change on a global scale as a corporate social responsibility. To contribute to the realization of a sustainable society through environmental conservation and the improvement of environmental quality, the company has established an environmental management system based on ISO 14001, an international standard, and is committed to its continuous improvement, maintenance, and operation.

At Nikken Sekkei, we are committed to accurately understanding the expectations of our clients and society, and to contributing to the preservation and enhancement of the environment.
1.〈Operational Side*¹〉We strive to reduce the environmental impact of our internal operations and to improve the quality of our working environment.
2.〈Project Side*²〉 In our design and planning activities, we aim to incorporate environmental performance with due consideration for technical and economic feasibility, thereby delivering environmentally responsible solutions.
3.〈Environmental Management System*³〉We comply with our environmental management system and continuously seek improvement, ensuring that both individuals and the organization grow through sustainable practices that contribute to our clients and society.

Environmental Management System
In November 1997, Nikken Sekkei obtained the ISO 14001 certification from the International Organization for Standardization and has maintained the certification since.
In accordance with the ISO 14001-based environmental management system, the company promotes continuous improvement in environmental conservation and quality enhancement from both the operational and project perspectives.
In particular, all departments—including those involved in design and construction supervision—implement daily initiatives with a strong awareness of minimizing environmental impact, aiming to create architecture and urban environment in harmony with society.
In accordance with the ISO 14001-based environmental management system, the company promotes continuous improvement in environmental conservation and quality enhancement from both the operational and project perspectives.
