Akira Takano

In 1996, he graduated from the Department of Information Systems Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Osaka University. Aspiring to become an architect, he graduated from the Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Engineering, Kyoto University, in 2000. After completing his graduate studies at the Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University, in 2002, he joined Nikken Sekkei.His major design projects include Tokyo Square Garden, Toyosu Civic Center, and MIYASHITA PARK, among others. He has extensive experience in a wide range of architectural projects, including large-scale mixed-use complexes, public facilities, office buildings, schools, broadcasting stations, and logistics facilities. His design philosophy centers on architecture that engages with many people and integrates with the surrounding environment.
