Atsushi Kato

After graduating from the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Nagoya Institute of Technology in 1987, he joined Nikken Sekkei in 2003. Since then, through his work in construction supervision, he has been collaborating daily with all stakeholders on a variety of architectural projects—each with its own unique characteristics—to deliver enriching spatial experiences to people around the world. Major projects I was in charge of while based in Nagoya included the Toyota Motor Corporation Main Building and the Mode Gakuen Spiral Tower. After being transferred to Tokyo, my projects included the Keidanren Hall, the Futako-Tamagawa East District No. 2 Type 1 Urban Redevelopment Project (Futako-Tamagawa Rise Phase 2), the Nippon Leetech Comprehensive Training Center, and the Zen-Yaku Kogyo Research and Development Center. He holds certifications as a First-Class Architect, First-Class Construction Management Engineer (Architecture), First-Class Construction Management Engineer (Civil Engineering), WES First-Class Welding Management Engineer, and Chief Concrete Engineer.
