Masashi Inoue

Construction Administration Group, Construction Administration Department
Director

In 1991, he completed his master’s degree at Osaka City University (now Osaka Public University) and joined Nikken Sekkei. For the first 20 years after joining the firm, he was a member of the Design Department in Tokyo, where he was primarily engaged in architectural design for offices, schools, hospitals, department stores, auditoriums, libraries, broadcasting stations, and hotels. For five years starting in 2011, he was seconded to the former Hokkaido Nikken Sekkei (now the Nikken Sekkei Hokkaido Office), where he was also involved in the design of buildings for cold climates, such as “Sapporo Sosei Square.” In 2018, he transferred from the Design Department to the Construction Supervision Department, where he initially handled construction supervision and the communication of design intent for office buildings and hotels he had designed himself. Since 2020, he has also served as the client liaison for various technical consulting services—including exterior renovation projects for office buildings over 30 years old owned by a long-standing client, a certain life insurance company, across Japan, as well as surveys of exterior deterioration. He is a First-Class Architect and a member of the Architectural Institute of Japan.
