After completing the Graduate Program in Social Infrastructure Engineering at Kyoto University, he joined Nikken Sekkei Civil in 2005. He earned his Ph.D. in 2011. In 2022, he was transferred to Nikken Sekkei following the merger with Nikken Sekkei Civil. His specialty is various types of geotechnical analysis, primarily focusing on earthquakes and liquefaction. Since joining the company, he has been engaged in design, analysis, and consulting related to geotechnical engineering—including seismic design of river and port structures and ground settlement analysis—as well as in the architectural field, covering geotechnical aspects such as proximity impact assessments and seismic impact analyses. In recent years, he has also been working on the design of foundations for wind power generation facilities.
