After completing his studies at the Graduate School of Engineering (Department of Civil Engineering) at Kobe University in 1992, he joined Nikken Sekkei. In 2001, following a corporate spin-off, he transferred to Nikken Sekkei Civil. He has been engaged in design, analysis, and consulting related to civil engineering—including ports, airports, and rivers—as well as ground conditions for architectural projects.Following the 1995 Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, he was responsible for numerous seismic assessments and seismic retrofit designs for port facilities and river structures aimed at earthquake disaster prevention; following the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, he took on similar projects focused on tsunami disaster prevention. Subsequently, he oversaw and promoted the civil engineering division.In April 2022, he was transferred following the merger with Nikken Sekkei.
