Yasumoto Tsutomu

In 1989, after completing his master’s degree at the Waseda University, he joined Nikken Sekkei. Since then, he has been involved in architectural design for government agencies such as the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the Ministry of Defense, the courts, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department.I am always mindful that the users of public buildings are not just the immediate clients, but also the many visitors who use the facilities. As a senior colleague once taught me, I strive not only to meet the specific requirements of each project but also to “fulfill the unseen, truly essential expectations” of those who use the space.
