Environmental Management
Nikken Sekkei takes the increasingly serious global climate change problem seriously as a corporate social responsibility. In order to contribute to environmental conservation and its qualitative improvement toward the realization of a sustainable society, we have introduced an environmental management system based on the international standard ISO 14001 and are committed to continuous improvement, maintenance, and operation.

We will accurately assess the expectations of our clients and society, and contribute to the preservation and improvement of the environment.
1. We strive to reduce environmental impact and improve the work environment on the *Operations Side*.*1*
2. In our “Project Side*2,” we strive to incorporate environmental performance into our designs, taking into account both technical and economic factors while giving due consideration to environmental performance.
3. We will comply with our Environmental Management System*3, continuously improve it, and strive to ensure that it becomes a sustainable initiative that enables Private and our company to grow and contribute to our clients and society.

Environmental Management System
Nikken Sekkei obtained ISO 14001 certification, the environmental management standard of the International Organization for Standardization, in November 1997, and has been striving to maintain it ever since.
Under an environmental management system based on ISO 14001, we are promoting continuous improvement aimed at environmental protection and its qualitative enhancement from both the operational and project sides.
In particular, in all departments, including design and supervision, we place great importance on efforts to minimize environmental impact in our daily work activities, aiming to create buildings and cities that are in harmony with society.
Under an environmental management system based on ISO 14001, we are promoting continuous improvement aimed at environmental protection and its qualitative enhancement from both the operational and project sides.
