TOKYO SKYTREE℠ ’s “Structural Design Technology Focusing on Wind for 600-meter-Class Towers” has been selected for the Architectural Institute of Japan Award (Technology).

The award-nominated achievement, “Structural Design Technology Focusing on Wind Loads for 600-Meter-Class Towers,” is recognized not only as the first wind-resistant design technology for a 600-meter-class tower in Japan—a country subject to severe natural disturbances—but alsobut is also recognized as a systematic design methodology for constructing super-tall structures that combine the universality of a landmark with the ability to maintain functionality following large-scale natural disasters. It was highly praised for providing valuable insights for future design practice and for significantly contributing to the development of guidelines and standards.
