JR Kumamoto Railway Station Building has been selected to receive the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Award in the Wall and Special Greening Category at the 21st Rooftop and Wall Greening Technology Competition (organized by the Urban Greening Organization, a public interest incorporated foundation).
