What Are the SASAU (Support) Series: kaku / maru / shikaku?

The SASAU series is a tool designed to “support” a fulfilling life in a rapidly changing society. The recent spread of the novel coronavirus has led to the rapid adoption of telework. Many workers face challenges such as difficulty concentrating at home—which they share with their families—and the inability to have a dedicated workspace, such as a study, due to Japan’s limited living space. From a lifestyle perspective, the addition of work to the home has also made it more difficult to maintain healthy family relationships. To “support” the diverse activities of family members even under such circumstances, the SASAU Series has introduced partitions that gently divide spaces.
kaku / maru / shikaku are tabletop partitions that can be combined. The base units—kaku and maru—come with clamps and stands and are made of solid beech wood to fit seamlessly into residential settings. The shikaku panels come in seven variations, allowing you to create a workspace in your home by combining your preferred base unit with a panel.

Features of Kaku, Maru, and Shikaku

● Turn Your Living Room into a Workspace with Simple Tools
Even in a shared family space, use partitions to block the view and create a boundary between home life and work.
It’s easy to set up and take down, and stores away compactly.

● The clamp prevents the table from tipping over, ensuring safe use
The clamp-style base can be secured to the edge of the table, improving stability.

● Design That Blends Seamlessly into Daily Life
The base is made of warm, solid beech wood, and its shape allows it to blend seamlessly into your daily life even when not in use.
Since the base and panels can be combined to suit any space, it’s ideal not only for homes but also for offices and retail stores.
