We are holding a "Urban Public Space Design Competition" for students.

I have always felt that we need to consider not only architecture but also urban design. However, recently, those in the architecture field have not been very eager to discuss the city, while those in the urban design field have not been venturing into the realm of architecture. I felt that we needed a space where the two fields could interact more, which is why I decided to organize this competition.
I hope that students will develop a mindset that connects architecture and urban planning from their college years onward.

This competition is open to students from a variety of fields—including architecture and urban planning—both domestically and internationally. I hope it will serve as an opportunity for participants to consider cities from a broad, cross-disciplinary perspective.
