We participated as a sponsor in the international real estate forum “MIPIM JAPAN–ASIA PACIFIC 2016.”

Nikken Sekkei participated in the international real estate trade show “MIPIM JAPAN–ASIA PACIFIC 2016,” held on September 8 and 9, 2016, at the Grand Front Osaka (Knowledge Plaza, Knowledge Theater, and Knowledge Capital Congre Convention Center).Held under the theme “Future Cities and Lifestyles—MODEL CITY & LIFESTYLE OF THE FUTURE,” the Nikken Sekkei booth showcased a scale model of the home stadium for the “FC Barcelona”—a project for which the firm was selected as the winner of an international design competition in March 2016—based on our past projects,as well as panels showcasing projects from both Japan and abroad. We were pleased to welcome many visitors over the two-day event.
On the second day of the event, during the conference, Katsuya Kawashima, Managing Director of Head of Architectural Design Department, gave a presentation and led a discussion on the theme “Breathing New Life into Existing Buildings—Business Ideas for Utilizing Historic Structures.”
