The 50th NSRI Forum

SEMINAR/EVENT
2017.05.29

In Toshima Ward, ward-led projects are currently progressing smoothly, including the new ward office building—which is integrated with a condominium complex—Minami-Ikebukuro Park, where proposals for the park’s future design have been put forward, and the development of the site of the former ward office, which has been named “Hareza Ikebukuro.”
Against this backdrop, the “Infrastructure Development Policy (Interim Report),” which will serve as a compass for future development around Ikebukuro Station, has been formulated.
As momentum for development within the Emergency Urban Regeneration Zone continues to grow, this presentation will introduce Toshima Ward’s cultural initiatives—which continue to tackle various challenges toward realizing an “International Art and Culture City”—as well as urban development plans for Ikebukuro.
