We will be holding the “Study Group on the Field of Environmental and Facilities Engineering”
(To be held in Tokyo)
Nikken Sekkei and the Nikken Group engage in architectural and civil engineering design and supervision, urban planning, and related survey, planning, and consulting services. Environmental and facilities engineers play a crucial role in these activities. Their scope extends beyond the design of building systems to include supervision of building systems and construction management. We also undertake projects close to people’s daily lives, such as residential complexes and senior care facilities. We are hosting this study group to introduce students to the wide-ranging fields and opportunities available to environmental and facilities engineers. If you wish to participate, please apply according to the guidelines below. We hope this event will be of assistance to you in your academic studies and future career planning.
1. Seminar Content
At the Nikken Sekkei MEP Design Group office, environmental and mechanical/electrical/plumbing (MEP) designers will introduce the processes involved in environmental proposals, implementation, and verification. Afterward, we will move to a construction site to introduce the roles and responsibilities of MEP supervisors.After the visit, we will tour Nikken Sekkei Construction Management (NCM) and Nikken Housing Systems (NHS) to introduce their respective operations.
2. Target Audience
Undergraduate and graduate students belonging to electrical and information engineering laboratories, as well as architecture and environmental/mechanical engineering laboratories
