In contrast to the inflexible, 20th-century urban “plans” built of concrete and steel, the circumstances surrounding modern cities are changing at a dizzying pace.To adapt flexibly to the accelerating pace of urban life, we propose a new way of connecting cities, architecture, and human activities through the “Timber Interface”—a system that utilizes wood, which is lightweight, flexible, easy to process and construct, and environmentally friendly.
At the venue, we will project a three-dimensional video onto a mock-up of the “Timber Interface,” visualizing the changing landscape of modern cities and our vision for a future city built with wood. Come experience the city of the near future for yourself.
