In 2011, we established DDL (Digital Design Lab) as an organization dedicated to both cutting-edge research and development and practical application in digital design, and since then we have been involved in numerous projects dealing with architectural information.Recently, the scope of architectural design has been expanding, and there are increasing opportunities that require diverse uses of information—such as the advancement of operational phases through technologies like the Internet of Things (IoT) and the utilization of accumulated data using AI. Through a detailed look at DDL’s specific activities, including their practical aspects, we will delve into “the present and future of digital design” as practiced by Nikken Sekkei.

Whether or not you work in the field of architecture, if you are interested in digital design, computational design, or similar fields, or if you would like to collaborate on such projects, we encourage you to join us.
