On the third day, Fadi Jabri of Nikken Sekkei (Executive Officer) and Nikken Sekkei Dubai (President and CEO) delivered a presentation titled “Transit Integration: Lessons from Tokyo.” He shared Nikken Sekkei’s extensive experience with Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) in Japan and offered insights for the rapidly expanding city of Riyadh.
“In Japan, railways are often developed in tandem with real estate, and station plazas connect to the surrounding pedestrian network while serving as vibrant hubs of urban activity. Although it may take time, the TOD concept could prove extremely beneficial for Riyadh as it continues to grow into a megacity.”
