Kaoru Kujime

In 1998, after completing his master’s degree at Tohoku University, he joined Nikken Sekkei. From 2017 to 2020, he served as head of the Structural Design Department at Nikken Sekkei Hokkaido. His specialty is architectural structural design. Valuing the concepts of “circle” and “harmony,” he works on structural designs for a wide range of projects—from super-tall office buildings to Private vacation homes—varying in both scale and use.
His major projects include the Nikkei Inc. Tokyo Headquarters Building (2009), the Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Head Office Building (2010), the Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation East Wing (2015), “On the Water” (2015), the Tokyo Nihonbashi Tower (2017), Kikkoman Corporation (2019), and KANDA SQUARE (2020).
He is a First-Class Architect specializing in structural design, a Certified Professional Engineer (Construction Division), and a member of the Japan Association of Structural Engineers, the Japan Seismic Isolation Association, and the Architectural Institute of Japan.
