In 1988, he joined Nikken Sekkei.
After gaining experience in facility design early in his career, he has been working in the field of urban development—including urban planning, infrastructure planning, and community development—from the conceptual planning stage of mixed-use developments.
Over the past decade or so, he has been involved in facility design and urban planning for projects in the area surrounding the Imperial Palace, including Tokyo Station Yaesu Development, the New Diet Members’ Office Building, Tokyo Midtown Hibiya, and Otemachi One. In recent years, he has been involved in multiple redevelopment projects and private-sector initiatives, particularly in the Nihonbashi district, providing consulting services ranging from conceptual planning to community development.
