In 2006, after completing the Master’s program in Urban Symbiosis Design at the Graduate School of Human and Environmental Studies, Kyushu University, he joined Nikken Sekkei.He has a proven track record in numerous design projects, primarily in the fields of education, welfare, and sports. Projects he has led include the Kumamoto Kagayaki no Mori Special Needs School, the Otsuka Group Osaka Headquarters Building, the Faculty of Music Building at Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music, the Kongo Welfare Center (a facility for people with disabilities), the Maizuru Children’s Rehabilitation Center, the Yomiuri Giants Dormitory, and Giants Town Stadium.He strives to create architecture that serves as a “rich backdrop” in which the lives of its users take center stage. He has received numerous awards, including the Public Architecture Award (Commendation from the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism), the JIA Award for Excellence in Architecture, the Japan Federation of Architects’ Associations (Chairman) Award, the Medical and Welfare Architecture Award, the Japan Federation of Architects’ Associations Award, and the Teiji Suzuki Award.
