Nobutaka Kashimoto

In 2000, after completing a master’s program at the Graduate School of Engineering, University of Tokyo, he joined Nikken Sekkei. His specialty is structural design.
He has worked on a wide range of projects, including super-tall office buildings such as the Otemachi Financial City South Tower (2012), as well as airport facilities, market facilities,food processing plants, research facilities, universities, and commercial facilities. He also has extensive design experience ranging from 300-meter-class high-rise buildings to horizontally expansive structures, including the seismic retrofit of Tokyo Tower (2014; recipient of the JSCA Achievement Award and the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Award for Excellence in Seismic Retrofit) and seismic retrofits of other super-tall buildings.
First-Class Structural Architect. Member of the Japan Association of Structural Engineers and the Architectural Institute of Japan.
