In 1992, after completing his master’s degree at Kyoto University, he joined Nikken Sekkei. His specialty is architectural design. He has been responsible for the design of projects across a wide range of fields, including offices, banks, commercial facilities, research facilities, government buildings, educational facilities, and sports facilities. He strives to create timeless designs rooted in their locations, while incorporating the innovation required by the times.Notable projects include Ryukoku University’s Higashiko Campus, the new Anan City, the Main Building of the Daimaru Shinsaibashi Store, the INAX Osaka Building, and a series of projects including Buildings 8, 9, and 10 of the Kyoto Research Park (KRP).Major awards include the Architectural Institute of Japan’s Project Selection Award, inclusion in the Architectural Institute of Japan’s Project Selection Collection, the BCS Award, the Japan Institute of Architects’ Selection of Outstanding Architecture, the Good Design Award, the Sustainable Design Award, and many others. He is a First-Class Architect, a Registered Architect with the Japan Institute of Architects, and a member of the Architectural Institute of Japan.
