Jian Zhang

In 2004, after earning a Ph.D. in Design from the University of Tsukuba, he worked as a researcher at the university before joining Nikken Sekkei in 2005. Since then, he has been primarily engaged in architectural design and design management.Major projects include the Guangzhou Library, Taipei Nangang Station, Fukuoka University Library and School of Business, Shenzhen Taiping Financial Tower, Chongqing Zhongyu International Metropolis and Xinguang Tiandi, and Hangzhou Vanke Liangzhu Future Light.Recently, he has served as design project manager for large-scale TOD mixed-use developments such as Chongqing Longfor Light Year and the Shapingba High-Speed Rail Terminal, Guangzhou Kaidaer Terminal International Plaza, Guangzhou Baiyun Station, and Shenzhen Xili Station.He has received awards including the World Chinese Architectural Creation Award, the Architectural Works Selection Award from the Architectural Institute of Japan, and the CITAB-CTBUH China Best Tall Buildings Architectural Honor Award.
