SCROLL DOWN
The Challenge of Park Management That Fosters Activities
Public spaces, including urban parks, have often seen increased prohibitions due to various backgrounds such as complaints from nearby areas and management associations. To revive rich and vibrant activities for urban residents in such places, the "PARK PACK," planned and operated by ULTRA PUBLIC PROJECT*, was conceived. NAD also participates as a member of Nikken Sekkei.
*“We are the city.” Under the banner of 'Rhizomatiks,' this unit considers and proposes community development from the perspective of various software centered on people, rather than developing hardware aspects. Composed of Rhizomatiks Architecture, T.YO, Dentsu Live, Nikken Sekkei, and Propeller & Company.
The mobile park "PARK PACK" was conceived as content under the concept of "Parks of the Future" at Tokyo Midtown 's design event "Tokyo Midtown DESIGN TOUCH 2018." By providing both software and hardware that encourage diverse activities and "PACKING" them in movable containers, they create mechanisms that enable activities to be created in any public space. NAD participated in everything from planning to spatial design, product design, management, and events.
