Hiroki Kazama

In 2005, after completing his master’s degree at Keio University Graduate School, he joined Nikken Sekkei. His specialty is structural design.
Since joining the firm, he has been responsible for structural design on numerous projects, primarily schools and office buildings. From 2013 to 2015, he worked on the design of the New National Stadium as part of the Zaha Hadid Architects + Design JV, and in 2015, he became a member of the team that won the international competition for FC Barcelona’s Camp Nou.Subsequently, after a secondment to an international engineering firm in Spain from 2018 to 2019, he was assigned to Nikken Sekkei’s Barcelona office in 2020, where he continues to oversee the structural design for that project.
His motto is “structural design that is optimal for the building as a whole.”
He is a First-Class Architect specializing in structural design and a CASBEE evaluator.
