Junichiro Ono

In 1989, after completing a master’s program at the Graduate School of Engineering at Shinshu University, he joined Nikken Sekkei.
His specialty is structural design. In Japan, he has worked on a wide range of building types, from skyscrapers to educational facilities, sports facilities, and government building renovations. Since 2012, he has been responsible for the structural design of mixed-use complexes and TOD facilities in China. He received the Japan Seismic Isolation Structure Association Award (Technology) in 2007 and the Award for Outstanding Seismic Retrofit Buildings in 2011.In 2023, he received the Japan Steel Structure Association Achievement Award.
His motto is to organize complex project requirements, develop structural plans that are rational, economical, and construction-friendly, and bring the client’s vision to life.
First-Class Architect (Structural Design). Director of the AW Certification Association’s East Japan Chapter. Member of the Architectural Institute of Japan and the Japan Association of Structural Engineers.
