Sae Ito

In 1993, she graduated from the Department of Architecture at the Tokyo University of Science and joined Nikken Sekkei. Her specialty is architectural design.
After working on welfare facilities and children’s hospitals, she gained extensive experience designing educational facilities ranging from kindergartens to universities. She also has a broad portfolio of projects, ranging from public works for the national and metropolitan governments to large-scale office buildings with complex design requirements. She places great importance on creating buildings that are pleasant, healthy, and appealing, and has received numerous awards, including the Environmental Architecture Award, selection for the Architectural Institute of Japan’s Collection of Works, the Japan Institute of Architects’ Selection of Outstanding Architecture, and the BCS Award, as well as many international awards from organizations such as MIPIM and CTBUH. She is a First-Class Architect, a member of the Architectural Institute of Japan, and a registered architect with the Japan Institute of Architects.
