After completing his graduate studies at the University of Tokyo, he joined Nikken Sekkei in 1994. He also holds a graduate degree from Yale University. He has been responsible for architectural design projects both in Japan and abroad, including Tokyo Skytree, YKK 80 Building, and the Global Shipping Plaza Building in Ningbo, China, The Ritz-Carlton, Nikko. He aims to draw out the infinite potential of projects by working across all scales, from the urban level down to architectural details.He is fully committed to presenting proposals that far exceed clients’ expectations. He has received awards including the Japan Institute of Architects Award, the BCS Award, the JIA Environmental Architecture Award, and the Japan Federation of Architects’ Associations Award. He is a registered architect with the Japan Institute of Architects.
