W Osaka, JR Kumamoto Railway Station Building, The Kumamoto Sakuramachi Redevelopment Project + Hanahata Plaza Wins the MIPIM Asia Awards 2022

Three projects by Nikken Sekkei were honored at the MIPIM Asia Awards 2022 ceremony held in Hong Kong on December 7, 2022. Ms. Minako Shima of the Consulate General of Japan in Hong Kong attended the ceremony on behalf of Nikken Sekkei and accepted the awards. W Osaka, JR Kumamoto Railway Station Building, and the Kumamoto Sakuramachi Redevelopment Project + Hanahata Plaza each received awards.

W Osaka won the Silver Award in the Best Hotel & Tourism Development category. (Client: Sekisui House, Ltd.)

JR Kumamoto Railway Station Building won the Silver Award in the Best Retail Development category. (Developers: Kyushu Railway Company, and JR Kumamoto City Co., Ltd.)

The Kumamoto Sakuramachi Redevelopment Project and Hanabatake Plaza also won the Bronze Award in the Best Urban Regeneration Project category. (Clients: Kumamoto Sakuramachi Redevelopment: Kyushu Sangyo Kotsu Holdings Co., Ltd; Hanabatake Plaza: City of Kumamoto)
