In 1987, after completing his master’s degree at the Graduate School of Tokyo Metropolitan University, he joined Nikken Sekkei, where he has been engaged in structural design ever since. Saitama Super Arena He has a track record in structural design spanning a wide range of projects, from large-span buildings such as the YKK 80 Building to seismic isolation and vibration control structures. In addition to structural safety, he consistently strives to incorporate design and create comfortable spaces, and has received various awards, including the 2012 JSCA Project Award and the 2019 Japan Structural Design Award.At the Nikken Sekkei Tokyo Building, he has been conducting seismic observations since 2003 and, leveraging that expertise, has played a leading role in the development and subsequent practical implementation of NSmos. He is also actively engaged in educational and social contribution activities, serving as a part-time lecturer at universities and as a committee member of the Japan Structural Engineers Association.
