Mari Ida

In 2008, after completing his master’s degree at Tokyo Institute of Technology, she joined Nikken Sekkei. Her specialty is architectural structural design. Since joining the firm, she has been responsible for the structural design of various buildings, including logistics warehouses, auditoriums, hospitals, super-tall office buildings, and universities. Most recently, she received the Japan Concrete Institute Award for her work on Building No. 1 at the Chofu Campus of the Toho Gakuen School of Music. Design is the act of creating something from nothing. She hopes that architectural designers will share their vision for a space with me in great detail.As a structural engineer, She aims to interpret that vision by applying structural rationality, so that together we can bring that vision to life and create excellent spaces. She is a First-Class Architect specializing in structural design.
