The World’s First "BIO SKIN"

This R&D-type office integrates company technology and development departments. The BIOSKIN used in the façade is the first cooling system of its kind in the world, taking a hint from uchimizu, Japan’s ancient tradition of sprinkling water on streets. The surround air is cooled by using the heat of vaporization from circulating rainwater accumulated in ceramic-pipe louvers (which also serve as balcony handrails). This has the effect of reducing the building’s internal cooling load.
