In 1987, after completing his master’s degree at the Graduate School of Science and Engineering at Waseda University, he joined Nikken Sekkei.
Since joining the firm, he has been involved in numerous projects—including government buildings, office buildings, and educational facilities—as a building services and environmental engineer.
For the Kitami Shinkin Bank Monbetsu Branch project, he received the Technical Promotion Award from the Society of Heating, Air-Conditioning and Sanitary Engineers of Japan (2016) and the Carbon Neutral Award from the Association of Building Services Engineers of Japan (2016).
In addition to new construction projects such as the Saitama Shintoshin Joint Government Building, the International Children’s Library, the Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Surugadai New Building, and Chuo University’s Myogadani Campus, he has also been involved in renovation projects.
Currently, as an owner’s consultant with in-depth knowledge of building operations, he is engaged in property management consulting and asset management consulting.
