PYNT

PYNT is Nikken Sekkei’s co-creation platform designed to “create new options for the future of our communities.”
Since our founding in April 2023, we have continued to bring together a diverse group of people from both inside and outside the organization to create new options for the future of our communities. By taking a broad, holistic view of communities and daily life, incorporating diverse perspectives, and devising comprehensive systems to solve social issues—all with the goal of improving people’s lives and the environment—we refer to this approach as “Social Environmental Design.” As a space that promotes “Social Environmental Design”—which goes beyond mere physical spaces—PYNT connects those directly affected by social issues with experts, aiming to bring these solutions to life through co-creation.

PYNT drives its initiatives through its unique “Co-creation Steps” to generate medium- to long-term impact on society.
PYNT has its own unique co-creation process designed to connect people and generate projects. We have formalized this process by defining specific actions for each step and setting goals for the conditions required to advance to the next step, and we carry out our activities while formulating hypotheses. By progressing step-by-step—from initial encounters to discussion, implementation, and societal deployment—we have built a system that generates not only short-term results but also medium- to long-term social impact. To date, more than 30 projects have been launched, and our partnerships with local communities and businesses continue to expand.

To create a social impact through co-creation, we believe that long-term collaboration across organizations and sectors, spanning 3, 5, and 10 years, is necessary. Therefore, at PYNT, we cultivate a community called "FUTURE COLLECTIVES," where people interested in the same themes and challenges meet, think together, and take action. The diagram above visualizes the communities and projects currently existing at PYNT, based on four themes of "the future of our city." FUTURE COLLECTIVES is constantly evolving and will continue to change in the future.

PYNT is a space for activities aimed at solving social issues through "co-creation." PYNT Tokyo opened on the 3rd floor of the Nikken Sekkei Tokyo office in April 2023, and PYNT Takebashi opened on the 5th floor of the Nikken Sekkei Takebashi office in November 2025. Various activities such as meetings, events, and exhibitions can be held there. If you are introduced by a Nikken Group employee, you can use the space temporarily as a guest, or register as a "PYNT MEMBERS" co-creation partner.
