Bon Voyage - A hotel surrounded by the sea, foreshadowing a boat trip -

The hotel is surrounded by the sea on three sides, with a luxury cruise ship docked directly opposite the guest rooms on the wharf where the hotel stands. Based on the theme of "fluctuation," the design aims for a feel for all five senses via the sea breeze, the water's surface, sunlight, the gas lamps, and the city illumination. At the entrance, an iconic spiral staircase welcomes guests with artwork that depicts the winds of Yokohama. The staircase invites them to the second floor lobby, which opens up like the deck of a ship. The interior design is based on the concept of an elegant sea voyage, and incorporates dynamic streamlined shapes that evoke ships, wind and waves. Guest rooms are designed to resemble terraces with large open windows that allow guests to feel the sea breeze. For guests, the open connection, light, wind, and aroma further stimulate the senses.
