After completing his studies in the Department of Architecture at the Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo—specifically in the Tachibana-Sakamoto Laboratory (Applied Acoustics)—she joined Nikken Sekkei in 2005. Since then, she has been involved in all aspects of design related to sound, cities, architecture, and facilities—ranging from the flushing sounds of restrooms to the acoustics of concert halls. YAMAHA Ginza (2010),Building No. 1 at Toho Gakuen University’s Chofu Campus (2014), Sapporo Sosei Square (2018), and the Tokyo College of Music’s Nakameguro and Daikanyama Campuses (2019), as well as acoustic design for a wide variety of spaces, including offices, residences, hotels, schools, and commercial spaces.Guided by the philosophy of “making invisible sound visible,” she works tirelessly with her design team every day.
