In 1985, he completed his studies at the Graduate School of Engineering at Chiba University and joined Nikken Sekkei. Since then, with the goal of creating buildings that can be used safely and comfortably for many years to come, he has devoted himself to structural design work on a wide variety of structures, including skyscrapers, seismic-isolation structures, large-scale redevelopment projects, and medical facilities.Since 2022, he has been a member of the Sustainable Design Group, where he takes the initiative and finds great satisfaction in leading projects focused on the survey, assessment, and preservation planning of existing buildings—including historic structures—as well as their revitalization and adaptive reuse.
He has experience managing entire projects, such as the seismic retrofitting design for important government facilities, as well as conducting seismic assessments and renovations for Important Cultural Properties, including traditional wooden castle keep towers and brick churches.
First-Class Architect and First-Class Structural Engineer. Member of the Architectural Institute of Japan, the Japan Association of Structural Engineers, and the Japan Reinforcing Bar Splicing Association.
