Crisis-inspired Modern Emergency Care
The AGMC is a new medical center born of the merger and restructuring of two hospitals, as well as lessons learned from recent natural disasters. These lessons include the implementation of large-scale measures for emergency care functions such as seismic isolation structures, tsunami countermeasures, a rooftop heliport, a covered driveway, entrance areas with space for multiple emergency vehicles, and various facilities to ensure continuous service during crises. A flexible system also allows for facility repurposing, such as the conversion of entrance and lecture halls to medical care use.
