By reconsidering the possibilities for the super-skinny "Pencil Building," we aimed to create an architecture offering fresh appeal to the city. This reconstruction project includes a head office, tenant offices, shops and the building owner's residence all located on a Tokyo street corner. The three-dimensional façades fulfill multiple structural, environmental and safety functions, with evacuation stairways serving as featured components.
