Makoto Hishida

Born in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, in 1962, he joined Nikken Sekkei after graduating from the Graduate School of Engineering, Department of Architecture, at Nagoya University in 1987.
After working for nearly 20 years at the Nagoya office, he spent 10 years at the Tokyo headquarters before returning to the Nagoya office. He has been responsible for a wide range of mechanical systems design—primarily for medical facilities, educational institutions, and office buildings—totaling a gross floor area of approximately 300,000 square meters. He is a Certified Professional Engineer, a Certified Building Services Engineer, and a member of the Society of Heating, Air-Conditioning and Sanitary Engineers of Japan and the Association of Building Services Engineers.
