Medical Rinku Port Located in Rinku Town, across from Kansai International Airport Co.,Ltd., this facility is a center for advanced cancer care that offers a variety of treatment options, with the IGT Clinic—which specializes in endovascular therapy (arterial embolization)—as its cornerstone.It was designed with the goal of presenting a new model of cancer care both domestically and internationally, providing cutting-edge medical treatment aimed at improving the quality of life (QOL) of cancer patients, and training world-class medical professionals.Taking advantage of the building’s streamlined shape, the “Solar Ribbon”—an indirect natural ventilation system for individual patient rooms—is built into the eaves. By incorporating numerous environmental technologies that promote patient wellness, the facility has achieved the status of one of Japan’s most energy-efficient hospitals.
