Awa Bank Head Office Sales Department Building

The challenge here was to rethink financial services from the ground up and to alter the conventional concept of a bank office as existing in a public space. The design is based on a neat horizontal and vertical frame that gives the building a dignity befitting a flagship office. At the same time, public functions are interspersed throughout the building in a way that links the functions of the bank itself. This, in turn, compels visitors to navigate the structure in search of "new encounters". The dual nature of the space, in which the dignity of a flagship office and the liveliness of a public space co-exist, creates a truly open banking facility that provides a rich experience for customers, local residents, and tourists.
